“THE HARDEST PART IS STARTING”

ABOUT ME!

Hello! My name is Lisette Ochoa and I will be graduating from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Development! I am passionate about learning and after graduation, I plan to continue my studies and go to school for sonography. My goal is to become an ultrasound technician in either pediatrics or OBGYN! The way I go about life and my motto has always been “the hardest part is starting'“ because I’ve learned throughout the years that even when I wanted to accomplish something, I would struggle to know where to start. During these times when I felt I was at a block, I’d tell myself “the hardest part is starting” and I now tell this to others who feel lost as well. Sometimes there’s so much to do and motivation is lacking. In times like these, I say that the hardest part is starting because once you get the first task done, everything starts to flow and fall into place right after. I believe that being there for others both physically and mentally is super important and having empathy can truly make a difference in someone’s experience, especially in the medical field. I want to be a comforting presence for people during vulnerable moments, and I hope to provide both care and kindness in my future work.
