In my Adulthood and Aging class, we were tasked to choose an illness or disease that affects older adults and explore its symptoms, progression, and possible treatment. I chose to research Osteoporosis as my grandmother dealt with this disease for as long as I knew her and wanted to learn more about it. I was able to gain a better understanding of who this disease affects the most, when it tends to start developing, and ways to prevent it from developing.
